Seeing Is Believing: Oneupweb Seeking Volunteers For Cutting Edge Study

Posted by Kathryn on January 26, 2010 at 11:42 am

Hello, Traverse City! Oneupweb wants you! Well, we want your eyes and insight, so to speak. We are currently seeking volunteers to participate in a groundbreaking eye tracking study at our headquarters in Traverse City, Michigan. This will take place throughout the first week of February.

It’s pretty cool, actually. The eye tracking system traces your gaze as you navigate a website.

Check this out:

But what does it all mean? That’s what we want to find out, and in order to do so, we need your help. As Albert Szent-Gyoergi, a Hungarian scientist, said: “Research is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought.

It only requires approximately 15 to 30 minutes of surfing the internet in an ergonomically designed chair. And your participation is kept strictly confidential. Simple, huh?

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the study.

Otherwise, sign-up today using the link below. It’s a Doodle, we promise.

Raise your hand if you think webinars can be boring. Yes, we think so, too. Which is why Oneupweb Founder and CEO Lisa Wehr is driving her digital marketing agency in an entirely different direction.

On January 27th, 2010, at 2:00pm EST time, Oneupweb Founder and CEO, Lisa Wehr, and Director of Operations, Tim Kauffold, will be hosting Oneupweb’s second Live Strategy Session titled Action Oriented Web Design: Driving Loyalty, Leads and Sales.

As the title implies, this Live Strategy Session will focus on the fundamentals of action oriented web design in today’s demanding digital landscape. This encompasses everything from interface usability and design assessment, to search friendliness, social sharing and security. Lisa and Tim will leave no stone unturned. And if you have any questions during or after the event, they will available to answer them. Now that’s service!

All attendees will also receive Oneupweb’s Action Oriented Design Checkup to help gauge whether or not their site is performing as it should.

Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your seat today. To register for this event, please visit OneUpWeb.com.

We hope to see you there!

Social Media For Franchise Development

Posted by Duncan on January 19, 2010 at 3:59 pm

In about three weeks I’ll be embarking on a journey to San Antonio, TX, where I’ll be featured as a guest speaker at the IFA’s 50th Annual Convention. This event will be taking place February 5-8. On Saturday, February 6th, at 2:45pm CST, I will be participating in a panel that will provide audience members with valuable information on how to leverage social media for franchise sales.

Here’s a run-down on some of the topics we plan on covering throughout our session:

11910_sanantonio

  • Revealing your core beliefs through social media; passing the transparency test.
  • How to garner better leads and save money using social media rather than traditional marketing channels.
  • Developing brand relationships through social media.
  • Social Media and B-to-B sales: incongruous or compatible?
  • Managing your social media in less than an hour per day.
  • Building a social media campaign using patience, patience and more patience.

So if you’re involved in the franchising and/or marketing business, or you just have something to add about social media and franchise development, feel free to tweet it using the hashtag #FranDevSocial. We’d love to hear what you have to say. In addition, we’ll also be live on Twitter throughout our session to take and address questions posted to #FranDevSocial.

Hope to see you there!

And in the mean time, check out the social media marketing services Oneupweb has to offer your business (franchise or not).

Oneupweb to Host Live Strategy Session—No Caffeine Required

Posted by Natalie on November 18, 2009 at 3:03 pm

Yawn. Daydream. Take a sip of coffee. Study coffee mug. Notice lipstick marks on rim. You don’t wear lipstick. Wonder who had dish duty at the company yesterday? Make a note to get even with them. Brainstorm ways to do this. Return gaze to computer screen. Oh, crap. Realize that you just missed half of the webinar that’s going on in front you.

Sound familiar?

111809_webinarWell, in an effort to combat the monotonous, humdrum standard routine of the webinar, Oneupweb has totally abandoned this standard practice. Why? Because let’s face it, webinars are boring. So after tossing this idea out the window, Oneupweb came up with an idea to host the first-of-its-kind live strategy session.

You see, Oneupweb believes that the more hands on the approach, the better. After all, showing is much better than telling, right? So it’s time to roll up your sleeves, grab a (clean) cup of coffee, and join us for this live strategy session taking place on December 2, 2009, at 2pm EST.

Oneupweb Founder and CEO Lisa Wehr and Director of Client Services, Duncan White, will be helping attendees learn cutting-edge marketing tactics firsthand. This session is geared at helping attendees discover the importance of balancing brand efforts with demand generation initiatives in 2010, learning what Relentless Digital Marketing actually is, and how it can transform their business.

Most importantly, after a short presentation, Wehr and White will help one lucky attendee plot a winning solution to their greatest marketing challenge.

Sound too good to be true? It’s not. And we’ll prove it. Register for this FREE event today.

I’ll leave you with one final challenge. Make that cup of coffee you bring with you to this event decaf—we guarantee you’ll still be awake and engaged at the end. No caffeine required.

Leveraging Social Media for Franchise Sales

Posted by Duncan on November 11, 2009 at 5:04 pm

I am headed to San Antonio in February of 2010 for the IFA Annual Franchise Convention. I am really excited to be part of a panel that will discuss leveraging social media for franchise sales. So I’m calling out to everyone in the franchise and/or social media world to get involved in the discussion with myself and the other panelists—before we even get to the conference.

111009_sanan

I have setup a hashtag for Twitter, #FranDevSocial, so we can all post our thoughts, ideas, examples, and questions now and in the weeks leading up to the conference. If you are reading this and you use Twitter, please take a moment to join the conversation through the hashtag.

What do you think? Can social media be leveraged for franchise sales? My answer would be yes, it can and it already is being leverage this way.

On the panel with me will be Ryan Cunningham of Javelin Solutions, Chad Cohen of Fish Consulting, David Asarnow of CL!X Portrait Studios, and Sean Fitgerald of Wireless Zone. Each of us will be talking about different aspects of this topic.

Here’s what we plan to cover:

  • Revealing your core beliefs through social media; passing the transparency test.
  • How to get better leads and save money over traditional marketing channels.
  • Developing brand relationships using social media.
  • Social media and B-to-B sales: incongruous or compatible?
  • Managing your social media in less than an hour a day.
  • Building a social media campaign: patience, patience, patience.

Please jump into the conversation by commenting on this blog or tweeting with the Twitter hashtag #FranDevSocial. If you do choose to comment on the blog, I will help out by adding your comments to the Twitter conversation.

The panel will be lively and audience participation will be welcome. We’d love to know what you are thinking about this event before we get there.
