The only advice I can give is to have your web developer disable the "right click and save" option, DO NOT use High Resolution or even large 72dpi images on your website and lastly, watermark your images. I would recommend that you do not tell people that "the odds are pretty good that no one will care if you use one for non-commercial purposes" because you are setting up unsuspecting users for a great deal of potential trouble. Students will often contact us by email to use the images. Our policy is that we allow use of the image as long as (a) the source is cited and (b) there's no income produced by use of the image.<br /> One of the problems that we've encountered is that illegal use of our images results in duplicate content. Duplicate content is often perceived by search bots as an attempt to influence search.
